Look What I Can Do Learning Center requires all staff to become certified in Infant/Child/Adult CPR, First Aid & AED. Maintenance checks are thoroughly performed on a weekly basis. We offer plentiful safety features including a safe room, pin code access, camera systems and more!
Look What I Can Do Learning Center maintains a healthy and clean environment for your child! We have strict protocols for daily, weekly and monthly disinfecting of all surfaces, toys and play areas. We strive to serve nutritious meals containing fresh fruits and vegetables daily. We offer a multitude of varying cultural foods to enhance the children's enjoyment of their taste and smell senses.
Look What I Can Do Learning Center is indeed a learning center! We begin education with infants as young as 6 weeks and continue through to our Private Pre-K programs. We conduct formal and informal assessments through out the year in all areas of development appropriate to the age of your child. Kindergarten Readiness is achieved and often exceeded. Pre-K Graduates commonly test at the top of their class when entering Kindergarten! Communication is prevalent through out the years and our highest priority is to your child's care.

Early
Learners (0-18 months)
Our infant
curriculum is designed around the latest early brain research. It is a
comprehensive program that optimizes key windows of opportunity to build strong
foundations for little ones ages 0-18 months. Based on the latest early brain
development research, this program offers easy-to-use activities emphasizing
all developmental domains (language, cognitive, physical, social and emotional,
approaches toward learning) and also features Conscious Discipline. The program
is aligned to Head Start School Readiness Goals for Infants and offers complete
support to equip caregivers to optimize the growth and development of the
children in their care.
Adventurers
(12-24 months)
Designed around
the latest scientific early brain development research, this year-round program
focuses on enhancing the simple joy of childhood while equipping caregivers to
nurture curiosity through exploration. It incorporates Conscious Discipline and
includes 52 weeks of activity choices. The program enhances the domains of
learning: physical, cognitive, language and social-emotional which are
intentional, integrated and child-centered and can easily be infused into daily
routines, such as diaper changing, transitions and outdoor play. It encourages
caregiver and child interactions to develop rich oral language connections and
is designed with intention and purpose to move children forward in their
development. Our program is designed to equip caregivers to foster essential
growth, meet the needs of all learners, and embrace the joy of learning each
day! All planned lessons are centered around developmental milestones and are
aligned with the National Head Start School Readiness Goals.
Explorers
(2 to 3 years)
Our Pre-School
Prep continues with the curriculum components from before only adding
additional lessons in oral language, concepts of print, comprehension,
phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge and writing. Great focus is put into social emotional development and understanding of Conscious Discipline.
Discoverers
(3-4 years)
Our
Pre-School program is created specifically for three-year-olds that reflect
best practices in teaching and learning as outlined in developmentally
appropriate learning outcomes. The program's developmental scope and sequence
is rich in content and offers engaging experiences that promote measurable
progress toward goals. It incorporates National Reading Panel foundation
standards for early literacy success: oral language, concepts of print, comprehension,
phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge and writing as well as Conscious
Discipline. This program will be combined with many of the features of the
Pre-K curriculum to create streamline learning experience for all children ages
3-5.
Navigators
& Travelers in Pre-K (4 to 5 years)
Our Pre-K curriculum is a year-round high quality, researched-based curriculum organized into ten skills domains and builds connections between and among all disciplines. In addition, the instructional models target strategies to ensure long term memory, alertness, and information processing based on brain science research. The program also incorporates STEM education, an approach to teaching and learning that integrates the content and skills of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It incorporates Conscious Discipline for increased social-emotional intelligence. All literacy instruction is based on the National Early Literacy Report to ensure a strong foundation for reading skills. Additional literacy support materials build phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, and vocabulary. The children will also participate in Spanish class through out the year to give them cognitive flexibility and cultural awareness. Children will complete Kindergarten Readiness skills with ease and many will be well advanced when entering their Kindergarten year. The children will perform some concepts that they have learned at an end of school year recital. The children going to Kindergarten will be honored at a graduation ceremony.
